Supper Thyme USA Franchise Launches Specialty Kid's Cuisine Program

Supper Thyme USA knows what kids will and will not eat. The national meal preparation concept in one of the hottest and fastest growing Franchise segments* is the first in the industry to offer a specialty kid-tested menu, Supper Tykes. Currently available in Supper Thyme USA's Edmond, Okla., Yukon, Okla., southwest Omaha, Neb., Grand Blanc, MI, and Hiawatha, IA locations, each Supper Tykes package includes four pre-assembled meals that serve three to six children, depending on appetite, as well as a surprise fun item.

Each Supper Tykes meal was tested by Supper Thyme USA in focus groups with kids ranging in age from two to 10 to ensure the menu tempts the taste buds of target customers. The shapes and names of the food are fun and festive, and designed for how kids really eat. with their hands. Preparation is easy. Parents simply put the preassembled meals in the oven to cook and either serve them or place them in the bright orange insulated Supper Tykes bag for their children to take with them wherever they go.

"Our clients constantly tell us about their challenge to get their children to eat, and making meals fun and enjoyable gives busy parents an easy and convenient solution that ensures their children are eating, and eating well."

Supper Tykes menu items are changed bi-monthly with a new set of kid-tested and approved meals. For June, the package includes: Super Sticky Chicken Drumsticks with Mini Corn Cobs; Power Pockets (lean turkey and ham with mozzarella cheese wrapped in a special bread dough) with Applesauce; Mozzarella Meatball Wraps with Breaded Zucchini Strips; and Baby Q's with Hash Brown Bites. Supper Tykes packages can be purchased for $40, with each meal feeding three to six children, depending on age and appetites. The cost per serving is about $2.50, making it a more wholesome and cost effective alternative to fast food, pizza and other convenience food items. The program will be rolled out to other locations nationwide throughout the year.

"The Supper Tykes program helps our clients spend the least amount of time in the kitchen, so they have more time to enjoy themselves and their families," said director of corporate training Cher Stenger. "The meals are ideal for school lunches, and can also easily be prepared by the babysitter or served as a convenient option when mom and dad are having 'grown up' foods they know their kids will not eat."
