DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen Franchise Owner Named to Remodeling Magazine’s 'Big 50'

WACO, Texas (May 16, 2002) - Remodeling Magazine’s "Big 50," published in the May 2002 issue, has named Paul Calafiore, franchise owner of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen by Worldwide®, in Newington, Conn., as one of the nation’s best remodelers.

Sal Alfano, editor of Remodeling Magazine, said the annual list recognizes individuals who "run successful companies that set the standard for excellence, leadership, professionalism, and integrity, regardless of company size."

According to Doug Dwyer, president of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen, which has franchised the DreamMaker brand in 15 countries, Calafiore has consistently been one of the sales leaders in the network. Calafiore, a franchise owner for 11 years, exemplifies the high standards that each DreamMaker franchise owner strives to achieve, Dwyer said.

"Paul has not only raised the bar for what DreamMaker franchise owners can accomplish, but he has also been a mentor to his peers in the DreamMaker network," said Dwyer.

With a staff of 12 people, Calafiore has perfected his niche in residential kitchen and bath remodeling. From small $5,500 jobs reglazing tubs to high-end $60,000 bath makeovers, Calafiore’s franchise has built an impressive portfolio of remodeling transformations.

Calafiore’s franchise did $1.2 million in volume in 2001. His company has won numerous honors from DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen corporate headquarters, including: Franchise of the Year, Sales Leader of the Year, and Technician of the Year [for one of Calafiore’s top employees, Ed Lafar]. Calafiore’s ranking marks the third time that the DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen name has appeared on Remodeling Magazine’s "Big 50" list.
