Dwyer Group President to Speak At International Franchise Association's First Multi Franchise Conference

It is the first time the IFA has hosted a conference specifically for best strategies in multiple-unit and multiple-concept franchise ownership. The Dwyer Group, which includes six franchise concepts and one affiliate franchise concept, is one of few companies in America that specializes in franchising multiple concepts.

Dwyer-Owens will be the moderator and Ciaramitaro will be a panelist at the conference's educational session on marketing. It will include discussions on local store marketing to complement and maintain national brand strategy, co-op advertising and the economies of group purchasing, demographics and lead generation.

"Multiple franchising is not for everyone," said Dwyer-Owens. "But we are finding that franchise owners who have the managerial know-how to oversee more than one business and the customer base to demand those combined services are growing in popularity."

"At the same time, multiple franchise ownership poses unique challenges and requires special skills," Dwyer-Owens added. "So a conference like this fills a great need for stellar performers in the franchising community who have exceeded 'single-shop' ownership."

Ciaramitaro, who is based in the Detroit area, is one of largest and most successful franchise owners of The Dwyer Group's subsidiary franchisor corporations. He has consistently been a sales leader at the top of 1,300 franchises.

Ciaramitaro owns Mr. Rooter, Glass Doctor, and Rainbow franchises for his territory. A plumber by trade, Ciaramitaro first became a Mr. Rooter franchise owner in 1990. Then, after perfecting the operations of his business, he purchased the additional concepts to offer more services to his loyal customer base. Ciaramitaro credits the power of franchising multiples and co-branding for much of his success.
